Through the Arched Window

I found this arrangement of trees in an area of ancient woodland that it is simply a joy to explore and spend time with the camera. The texture of the bark on the foreground tree initially sparked my interest and I decided I wanted the tree as a key player in the scene. The challenge here is to try and find an arrangement whilst navigating very steep and treacherous terrain. I eventually found this perspective with the main protagonist arching over an equally interesting tree in the mid ground, creating a form of window to the trees beyond. The late autumn colours were not too overpowering, just adding some additional interest to supplement the overall image.
