Signs of Life

As Winter retreats to be replaced by Spring we start to see signs of life appearing in nature. Trees that were nothing more than skeletons in days gone by start to ready themselves for warmer days. Soft light highlights the subtle colours of developing leaves and gently lights up the grey bark of their host. In this particular case I was drawn by the outline shape of the tree, framed at the bottom by the golden colours of the reeds, all softly lit by beautiful warm light.
