Skeletal

For me, nothing quite defines the change in seasons as much as trees. Throughout the year we see them start to flourish and prosper in spring, vibrant in their summer greens with ground darkening canopies, slowly changing colour like a chameleon in autumn, and finally naked during winter with their unique structures clear for all to see. I was particularly taken with the structure of these trees at the end of winter, their skeletal structures clearly defined amongst the leafless branches. Very little colour in the scene made black and white an easy choice to make.
