Naked

Autumn colours were abundant as I looked across the valley trying to find an arrangement of trees that showcased the time of year. My attention was drawn to a small cluster of trees that had died with only their bare branches remaining. Perfectly surrounded by an array of colour the dead trees appeared naked having shed their coats one final time. Who knows how long the trees had been dead, or how long the skeleton will remain. Nature will make that determination, as it does for us all.
