Black and white photography presents my biggest challenge. It requires a very different approach to colour, and tends to lend itself to high contrast, dynamic images full of shapes and textures. While I do enjoy such images they are not the type I naturally create, leaning more towards a more painterly approach with the emphasis on low saturation, pastel colours where possible. I think I naturally see the world in colour, whereas some photographers tend to see it in monochrome. I occasionally see something that I think will suit black and white and will not shy away from having a go, however it is likely that this section of my gallery will always be more limited in content.
